  • A genus of green-spored ascomycetes fungi in the family Hypocreaceae where nonseptate conidia are produced on two- or three-branched conidiophores. Trichoderma is present in all soil. Some species are pathogenic to other fungi and others have reportedly caused opportunistic infection in immune-compromised humans, particularly children.
